What I help with

The money side first, then the systems that hold it.

Most restaurant consulting starts with concept, design, or marketing. This starts with whether each plate makes money, because nothing else holds up if it doesn't.

Level 1 · Money

Food cost and menu pricing

Every item costed from real invoices, food cost percentage by item, and prices set on purpose instead of by feel. You leave with a costing sheet that reprices your menu when an ingredient goes up.

Level 1 · Money

Know your numbers

Your first real P&L, owner pay as its own line, and a weekly tracking routine that takes minutes, not a Sunday. Built so you actually keep doing it.

Level 2 · Systems

Systems and training

Recipes out of your head and onto cards, prep and ordering routines, and training that gets your team running the place the way you would. Built to run, not to babysit.

Pre-opening

Opening with the math done

Break-even, pricing, and books set up before you sign a lease or open the window. For food trucks, pop-ups moving into a space, and first storefronts.

Who it's for

Built for independents, not groups with a finance department.

A good fit

  • ✓Single-location independents running on instinct and ready to run on numbers.
  • ✓Newly opened operators replacing guesswork with systems before bad habits set.
  • ✓Pre-launch owners: trucks, pop-ups moving into a space, first storefronts.
  • ✓Owners ready to grow without losing what already works.

Not the right fit

  • ×Multi-unit groups with an in-house finance or ops team.
  • ×Concept, interior design, or branding projects.
  • ×Anyone looking for someone to run the restaurant for them.

Questions

Restaurant consulting, straight answers.

What does a restaurant consultant actually do?

It depends on the consultant. Some focus on concept and design, some on marketing. Forgr focuses on the money side and the systems behind it: food cost, menu pricing, your P&L, recipes and training. There's a longer answer in what does a restaurant consultant do.

How much does restaurant consulting cost?

Every engagement gets a flat quote after a free 30-minute session, so you know the full number before anything starts. There's no hourly meter and no long contract.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most of the work runs over video with a shared screen. On-site visits are available across the Salt Lake City area for larger engagements.

What do I need to have ready?

Your menu, your prices, and access to what you pay suppliers. Invoices or bank statements are fine. Messy is normal. If you've never costed a plate, that's exactly where we start.

Do you use AI tools?

Where they save you time, yes, with guardrails. Everything gets taught by hand first so you can check the numbers, then set up to run faster. The YouTube channel shows exactly how.

Do you work with multi-unit groups?

No. Forgr is built for single-location independents and owners about to open. Groups with a finance team are better served elsewhere.
